RZ

Razif Zainudin

Retail hardware, Melaka Tengah

"I started with the Horizon Check thinking it would be a one-off. I ended up doing the Three-Year Review three months later. The single session helped me articulate something I had been circling around for years but couldn't quite put words to."

Lim Hui Xin

Events catering, Ayer Keroh

"Haris does not tell you what to do. He asks questions until you hear yourself say what you actually think. That sounds simple but it was not something I could have done on my own — I'd been too close to the business for too long. The written document after the sessions was useful; I've referred back to it several times."

Faridah Omar

Tailoring & alterations, Melaka

"I was sceptical that a consultant could help with a very small business like mine. What I found was that the size did not matter. The questions were the same — what do you want this to look like in five years? What are you doing now that is moving toward that? That framing was new for me and genuinely helpful."

Ahmad Chua Jian Wei

Electrical contractor, Alor Gajah

"Six months of the Horizon Partnership. What changed was not some big strategic pivot — it was that I stopped making decisions in a fog. Having a monthly check-in where someone asked 'does this serve where you want to go?' made a real difference to how I approached things that came up."

Norizan Kassim

Photography studio, Melaka Tengah

"The sessions are calm. I expected something more intense or more directive. Instead it was a careful conversation. I came away from the Three-Year Review with a clearer sense of what kind of business I actually want — not just what was possible, but what I wanted. That distinction turned out to matter a lot."

Tan Mei Ling

Import trading, Melaka

"I appreciated that the fee was fixed and stated upfront. With some advisers you never quite know what you're in for. The process was transparent and the written document arrived when it was supposed to. Small things, but they built trust."

Three client journeys

RS

Rasyid Sulaiman

Automotive workshop, Melaka · Three-Year Review + Horizon Partnership

The situation

Rasyid had been running his workshop for eleven years. Business was stable but he felt it had plateaued. He was doing the same work for the same customers and had no real picture of where the next ten years would go.

What we worked on

The Three-Year Review clarified that Rasyid wanted to build a workshop that could eventually run without his daily presence. The Horizon Partnership then helped him make decisions over six months that were aligned with that direction, rather than driven by immediate convenience.

What shifted

Over eight months, Rasyid hired and trained a senior technician to take on more of the diagnostic work. His own time moved gradually toward customer relationships and oversight. The direction was clearer; the decisions that followed it felt less uncertain.

"I didn't need someone to tell me what to do. I needed someone to help me figure out what I actually wanted — and then to keep checking whether I was moving toward it."

JL

Jennifer Leow

Language tutoring centre, Klebang · Three-Year Review

The situation

Jennifer had expanded her tutoring centre from a home operation to a small shophouse. Several people had suggested she open a second branch. She was unsure whether that was what she actually wanted, or just what the momentum of growth was suggesting.

What we worked on

Through the planning sessions, Jennifer arrived at a clearer picture: she valued the direct relationship she had with her students and their families, which a second branch would make harder. Her direction shifted toward deepening the existing centre rather than expanding.

What shifted

Jennifer turned down two premises enquiries in the year that followed — decisions she said she could make without uncertainty because she knew what she was choosing and why. The written outlook document gave her a reference point when the pressure to expand resurfaced.

"Having it written down meant I wasn't re-making the same decision every time someone suggested I open a second branch. The decision had already been made, carefully."
